Your garden looks lovely, I bet you have lots of birds coming in from all those trees surrounding you. Do you feed them? Do you get woodpeckers?

We use suet balls in feeders and the sparrows and blue tits and coal tits love them. Once they have had a feed the blackbirds appear and clear up the seeds that have dropped onto the ground. Woodpeckers are not a ffeature of the North East here. Over the last year, however, magpies have become a common sight - and sound! Because of the magpies and sometimes seagulls, we don't put food out on the ground. I would have imagined squirrels would be common too but never seen even one. I intend to install a hedgehouse house though so maybe will have those as visitors next year. :-)
