I put the Carex out the front and the new Buddleia and Sungold at the back, each underplanted with Trailing Lobelia.
Trouch of pansies in front - amazing they're still going, as they've had very little TLC

made them myself, Karen - from a kit, not completely from scratch! they're about a foot cubed, don't know how big "normal" planters get, but big enough for me to lift and carry when full!

thanks Homebird; I'll know how to do them properly n ext time i buy kits - or even have a go at making my own, though they'd be plain-fronted, much easier!

thanks, Alan. they won't bear close inspection, the joints aren't all that joined, but they look ok from a distance
