the primroses had been well munched by somthing, i was going to pull them out and plant something else, when I noticed new green - they seem to be trying to stage a comeback.

they were munched to pieces, Bloomer - and it didn't take long for that to happen! i alsmost pulled them up, but didn't get round to it, probably just as well as they're recovering. They'd not been in long enough to really grow much

We win some,we lose some Fran..but I'm a bad loser! I've potted a few of mine up,and lifted the pots on to a waist high wall..so far so good, but I'm not holding my breath ...wonder why weeds aren't on their menu??

lol when i had only pots, i counted it a failrue if i had to buy a plant twice. I don't think "easy come, easy go" is a philosphy that makes a good gardener.
lol weeds have had time to evolve to be pest-resistant, and there's enough of them to recover if any does munched.

Mine are looking the same,Fran..quite normal..they will look good again next year..just keep taking the dead leaves off,and those flower heads that are finished....If mine are getting too big,I take some of the bigger green ones off too as some get so big,and encroach on other plants.. plus it's a hiding place for Snails and Slugs...maybe it isn't the done thing, but it works for me..They still put on a good show :o)
