And me. Just can't get enough of them.

These self-seeded in various parts of the garden. I moved them over here together - the white ones had seeded themselves in one of last year's hanging baskets. I've bought perennial ones in the past, but I've not been very successful with them. As long as mine keep re-seeding, I'll be happy.

I've bought a perennial one today - Illumination - and it's just gorgeous. I'll get a photo up tomorrow, if we haven't been washed away by then! The funny thing is, despite the torrential rain today and yesterday, the area on my back border, under the tree, is still bone dry. This morning, I noticed that the Joe Pye was wilting!! Then, when I dug the hole for the new foxglove, I found the same. I had to water it in! The sky was a thunderous black and it was obvious that the heavens were about to open with rain of biblical intensity, so I must have looked like a mad woman to anyone watching.

I was watering baskets just as the heavens opened and the first thunderclap sounded ! Our soil is very sandy - it takes days of rain to make it really wet, so I'm careful to water new plants. They have to fend for themselves once they're established, but they usually survive. Pots and baskets need regular watering, though, because the roots have nowhere to go.
I bet I looked funny beating a hasty retreat with a watering can clasped in one hand!
