The plants at their best!

Thank you Barbara, it is. I planted it last year, nothing much happened, but this year's there is no stopping it. At first the spikes were straight, but has they got taller, they diverted away from the shrub above.

Mine has been in the garden now for a few years think I need to move it again as it must not be getting enough sunshine to make it flower. :O(

Plants at their best I agree, but where are the roses Michaella? In a different part of your garden? Most of my roses already said goodbye until they appear again in late August. May be.

Olive - then you will need to kill off the regrowth where it currently is. It regenerates from the smallest piece of root

Andrew I am wondering if I have the one which isn't as invasive as this one. It has not grown very fast and it seems to be very well behaved. Think it is another case of mistaken identity. lol. but I am going to move it and try it elsewhere in the borders in a more sunny spot. I would not mind if it did regrow up where it is. lol I would like it in several places I love the plant. lol. I know I am potty but it is just one of those things love em hate em. lol I love em. lol

You have the room now Karen, I saw it in a car park rockery it was amazing. I had no idea what it was until I asked and everyone was telling me it is a plant no no. lol I just loved it and said yes yes. I am so disappointed it has never flowered. Going to move it today when I get around to it. lol.

ps. Karen been keeping an eye on the seeds of that maroon two tone aquilegia went up to look this morning and all but about two seed heads have been eaten off. darned mouse or maybe Bullfinch we sat the other day and watched them eating the seed heads on h.geraniums. Pretty but they love to eat seeds and early shoots of apple tree blossom, ah well I love them even if they eat my seeds lol :O)

Gorgeous view michaella, i love this plant. Howver i think it might be it that i have planted plonk bang in my main border so might not have given it enough room. Really glossy green leaves which unlike my hostas show no sign of slug damage. my plants have been in for 3 years and i was getting excited as has its first flower spike. Will try to post a pic soon for ID.

Thank you, can't wait to see yours Sarahm:)) I am planning to buy more of this plant and plant it somewhere, where it can spread as much as it likes. I adore the very long spikes.
