Cheerful frontage

When my husband died I had a 10' high privet hedge; so to keep myself busy I got that cut down to a height I could cut myself, and also curved it. Then, because the little bit of ground was too hard to plant in, I got some membrane and covered with pebbles; then I got some bricks to raise the planters, bought 10 18" planters and plugs from Suttons, and each year in the summer I place these along the front, under the hedge. In the spring I bring forward 10 planters filled with tulips and dafffs, just to keep the ball rolling.

all looks wonderful even the pot decorations, great fine detail.

I like curvy cut shrubs, they are more interesting than just square or a blob. I am trying to get a similar effect with a laurel and two junipers in the back garden. Have to be careful as I can't carve conifers too deeply.
