A native orchid

hi sbg, Any ideas where i can buy one of these,i know that my mum would like to have in her garden.

there are several nurseries. Jeff Hutchins [might be Hutchinson] was where I got mine from.

I have this Marsh Orchid I'm more than pleased with mine ....

so beautiful ,how hard are they to grow? I fear im not yet ready to keep one.

well this is a British native and it grows freely on alkaline soils around where I grew up. Thankfully my soil is chalky/alkaline so this early purple orchid [this isnt the marsh orchid Amy but they do look very similar don't they, well same genus so closely related so they should do :o)] is happy in my garden soil. It has been no trouble at all. so go for it Windy.
