Poppy seed head

There's something fascinating about a seed head . I like its little hat and ruff round its neck ,paint some eyes on it Hywel :o))

I love poppy seed heads - their lovely shape more than makes up for the short life of the flowers.

I love seedheads. I leave some and remove others to try to keep the plant vigourous, while at the same time allowing for some self-seeding; I don't know if this works!

I try to dead head the old flowers but if the pods are pretty I leave them. I don't get many flowers on the poppy.
Forgetmenots seed well here, and weeds ! but other things don't.

I love the pods on aquilegias. I'd like to think that they seed freely, but where they are there isn't much space for new plants. They look pretty, though. Weeds seed well everywhere!

These never seed in my garden :(

When is a seed head a work of art? When Hywel takes a photo of it. You do have an eye for detail which is quite wonderful.
