Thanks Neellan..for some reason,it's much harder to get cuttings to take from this one,I don't know why..I've had another go,so fingers crossed..last years failed,and this one is looking very leggy at the base..

Do you cut yours down when they are overwintering Sandra.....I never know whether I should? some I do and others I don't, see which one turns out the best!

I just trim them slightly,to tidy them up,Val,as most of them are kept in the Conservatory,so I can keep taking any dead leaves off,and I just water a little now and then,as sometimes they keep going with new foliage.,even though it's unheated in there...these are the tender ones....I treat this one as a tender,but it's kept in the shed,as it's too big to go in the growhouse,but I fleece it over when it gets really cold,and keep checking,to take all the dead leaves off as well..again,I just tidy it up first..If the cuttings take on this one,I will get rid of the main one this year,as it's getting past it's best..We were lucky to have such a mild winter ,so who knows what we will get next year..Any cuttings are kept indoors too.Hardy ones are just left with all stems on,in the garden..but with a good mulch around the base..

I was reading a blod that Kath directed me to, and they said to keep them in the dark over winter....so shed might be best. This is a beautiful fuchsia! I hope your cuttings take this time!

That's interesting,Karen,I didn't know that....I always keep it in the shed,so done something right!..I love this one too,and so far so good with two cuttings..I might hedge my bets,and take some more,just in case..
