I asked a question about these recently, asking what they could be..seems some are Nemophilia..and I have spotted some tiny Violas coming through..but still don't know what the triffid in the centre is going to be..! I couldn't get it all in shot..He is so happy with his first attempt..:o)

Thank you Paul.my suggestion to sow them thinly, fell on deaf ears..it was almost all the packet! I hope he does as his School teacher tells him, when he starts in September ! Lol

I learned a lot of my gardening skills from my grandparents Bloomer. I shared some wonderful times with them, and I'm sure that Thomas does the same with you.

I hope he will,Lindak,I try and encourage him,and tell him the names of flowers, and touch them..I even let him gently touch the Echinops, with a warning about it being prickly..He knows now not to go too near..forewarned,and all that :o) How is your elbow? I hope you are recovering well,it must have been very awkward for you,and painful at times..I was glad to get my plaster cast off my wrist,a couple of weeks ago..such a lot you can't manage to do without help..

Glad you are getting better Bloomer.....It all takes time doesn't it to heal. It's two and a half weeks in now since the operation and I've had the plaster off on Wednesday. I still feel tired.....Just a bare arm now with a long cut in it. It is amazing really what the surgeons can do to help isn't it. The nurses and everyone at the hospital were really kind and did all they could to help in every way. We are so lucky to have our NHS. I am doing more and more exercises now and have made myself out a chart then write down exactly what I've done so that when I go to physio next week they can see. This morning I have been able to just about get breakfast to my mouth with the left hand. I will progress with time....thankyou for all your kind thoughts everyone. x Linda. x

Glad to hear you are making good progress,Linda..and followihg advice given,It's the only way..I found having to use my right hand very awkward when eating too, especially having to have things cut up for me to manage..Not a fan of eating American style with a fork ! I agree about the NHS,it has it's faults at times, but I have no complaints with my experiences over the years..just too stretched staff wise, aren't they? keep up the good work, you will be back to full strength before long :o) x

Thank you ,Ba..I had never heard of Nemophila till last week ! I saw some pics of Pita's,and realised that's what they are..good old GoY eh? it is looking even better now, with some more I don't know..in shades of pink..I might update this photo,as I'm such a numbty where these are concerned :o) I need to appear the font of all knowledge when Thomas asks what they are :o)

A very pretty and attractively sown selection if I might say so!!
I think Thomas has done so well and thanks to you he seems to have got the green fingered touch required!!
I helped the twins to sow nasturtiums and sunflowers..........funny, I haven't heard a thing about them since!!!!

I suspect your triffid is a St John's Wort or Hypericum. Would make sense, as they do grow wild . :)) well done Thomas, so pretty! I bet he's thrilled with his garden!

Thank you Chris .I like his pot better than some of mine this year! :o)Shame the twins Nasturtiums and Sunflowers didn't appear, how disappointing for them..maybe some of these might be an idea for next year..:o)

I'm going to take another photo,Karen ,as the Triffid has i lovely Cerise flowers on today..so back to the drawing board,I think...any ideas? ,cos I haven't !.and thank you ,he is delighted..He will be here at any moment from Nursery,so I shall try and get him to stay still long enough to get him in shot with it :o)
