Really lovely, Wonder what strain of Fuchsia that is?

Thank you. I only know it is a trailing one called Pink Galore.

Your Pink Galore is much bigger and fuller than mine,Cinders..Mine are last years, and the cuttings didn't survive.Strange, with it being a frost free winter, haven't had a problem with them before..

Do you know what Sandra, I sometimes think its not worth the hassle of taking cuttings, as they are not expensive to buy as small plants. This one I grew from a plug plant that only cost pence. Then you can take cuttings as they grow and you pinch out the tips to make them bush out.

I'm inclined to agree with you Cinders..I'm getting fed up of some dying on me..although I did take some a few weeks ago ..so far,so good..but if they die now, that's it!
By the way,Ballet Girl is still going, which I didn't expect to see this year :o)

Maybe its my age catching up with me, but I don't want the hassle of it these days. But when the time comes in the spring I shall get the urge I expect. Pleased you have managed to keep Ballet Girl.

You are not alone,Cinders..I have decided I'm drastically cutting back next year..and I don't think I'm even going to sow seeds..well.maybe the Antirrhinum seeds,I was gifted this year..or save some from the plants..That's about it,as I'm finding it a hassle too.Once the enjoyment goes...but has it? We will both know next year :o)

Totally agree. I think plug plants is the way for me, but as you say, I can't resist it really. Once a gardener ........!

O are you another one Hb. Its so difficult to resist when the time comes isn't it. Like I wasn't going to grow tomatoes and cucumbers this year but what have I done ? Couldn't resist trying a Black Russian Tomato, and mini cucumbers !

Lovely Fucshia Cinders.... sounds as though we're all getting fed up with seed sowing and cuttings, I've mad up my mind I'm not going to bother with seeds.Hardly any of my seeds grew this year, and our local market has a really good flower stall, you can get almost anything you want there, and he's so good, if he hasn't got something you want, he nearly always knows somebody in the flower trade that has.He grows all his own bedding plants, and they are much cheaper than the GC's and nurseries, so thats my plan for next year.Must admit, I've taken some fucshia cuttings already, and carnations, can cope with those quite well.

Yes, its all getting too time consuming for me, I have so many other things to be doing. Perhaps its a sign I am getting too old,(have to have an excuse), but I agree you can get hold of small plants so easily without all the hassle, unless you enjoy the challenge of growing from seed. My veg seeds I nurtured and cosseted for weeks then planted them out and they were eaten by slugs and snails this year - absolutely decimated them, so I was left with only a few, its so depressing. But not really too downhearted as other things have done well.
