Plumeria 'Pink Pastel'

Ooooo! How pretty, isn't nature wonderful, I've been on the Web to look at buying some seeds but Wow! They sure are expensive LOL, 10 seeds between £20 & £30 and a cutting is just under £70 LOL Good that your cutting took :o))

Here in San Diego, CA., Plumeria is a pretty common shrub or tree. I have several.

Been and had a look, it looks good and healthy, shame you can't send me some of your seeds but I don't think thats allowed from your country to the uk :o(

My plumerias very rarely set seed. I always grow them from cuttings. Seedlinga are too variable...cuttings are always are identical to the variety of the parent tree. I have many plumerias posted on GoY. Here's some photos if you have time to look at the many varieties grown here in San Diego, CA.

Just been to look at your Plumerias, there so lovely, I think I will have to go and buy one but I'm not sure if they would survive outside in the winter months if we had snow and so on, not that we had snow last winter, I have an unheated greenhouse or an unheated summerhouse, wonder if it would like to be in the summerhouse? Mmmm! Food for Thought LOL, I'll let you know if I do get one, I will ask for advice in my Local Garden Centre first :o)))

Plumerias are tropical trees/shrubs. Plumeras will not even survive outside in mild climates where there's a lot of rain during the winter, as they rot.

You're welcome. As a rule Plumerias don't like morning lows below 45 - 50º (7.2 - 10ºC) in winter...and prefer to have highs of at least 68ºF (20ºC) or higher in winter. These are common temps here in San Diego during winter, although, we can have highs to 90ºF (32ºF) in January.

Thanks! Yes, this is the branch which the painter broke 3 months ago. It rooted very quickly then flowered. I just planted my large rainbow plumeria in the ground today. It was just too large for the pot. It should grow much faster now.

Thanks! This variety is typically a very good bloomer. The large one in the ground hasn't bloomed this year, though.
