I know what you mean we've had a glorious summer here and no sign of any teeth, seem to remember last year it didn't have any till it rebloomed either.Mines already in the sunniest spot possible, on the plus side the flowers are the biggest I've seen them.

Oh dear that is sad......we had a lot of gall mite on the early flowering ones, and some had reverted to orange!! is that possible?

And here the gall midge weren't as bad this year Dd I even saw flowers on Edge of Darkness which was threatened with the compost last year, they seem to love that one more than any other, I was very vigilant last year though and picked off any bud that looked even remotely gall midges.
I've never heard of them reverting to orange no,none of mine ever have, very strange.

Have just removed some enormous clumps of orange ones so I can put in some new ones......so pleased with your offer very kind of you/

Aaaw thanks Dd just sent you a pm, I have lots of the orange too which I will be removing a lot of so I can bring a few of my nice seedlings from the allotment :-)

This one is frustrating. It is from Florida and needs a lot of heat to get the full set of teeth. Mine is going to be moved this fall to the back area.
