Thats good sandra.... :))))

I like this one Sandra. Is it perennial? I grew Rudbeckia Marmalade, last year, only to realise too late it was an annual :(

My two have survived, but one has been eaten down a little and not flowering, think a rabbit was the culprit. The other one is in full flower so must be hardy this is their third year. :O)

Thank you,Hywel..That is what I thought too..Already planted out this morning..I only intended doing this one job,and ended up being out there till lunchtime.. you know how it is ! :o)
...........
Thanks for your suggestion,Holly..They didn't have 'Goldsturm' ,but this fits the bill nicely :o)
........
Yes,Waddy..and it says on the label, very hardy..also if you leave the brown cones on over winter, the smaller birds like them..Butterflies too,apparently..I boughtt it at Armitages GC at Birchencliffe..not far for you to have a look :o)
.......
Thanks,Barbara..Shame about the suspect Rabbits B..how annoying! We don't get them here,so I presume it will be safe ..I hope so !
.......
Thanks Amy,I'm really happy with it..I have some serious work to do in that border..my mind is working overtime now ! Lol..and once I set my mind to something. ,well .you know the rest :o)..Russell thinks I'm crazy, but he isn't a Gardener..they just don't get it,do they?? Lol.
...........
Thank you Paul, and thanks for your input too..You never know,I might even get some of the Coreopsis you kindly suggested ,next year..Lol..even more colour :o)

You are quite welcome Sandra. You can't go wrong with the Coreopsis. They thrive on neglect and will naturalize readily
18 Aug, 2014
Neglect sounds good to me,Paul :o) Did you buy yours,or do them from seed?
18 Aug, 2014
I grew mine from seed. I planted out three plants 4 years ago. They come back with friends reliably every year and have naturalized into the landscape.
18 Aug, 2014
Thanks Paul,I might give them some thought for next year..

I agree with Hywel, it is like a splash of sunshine! Lovely and so many flowers on it. :o)

Lol Sandra!
23 Aug, 2014
Good morning Shirley :o) Early bird like me? x
23 Aug, 2014
Yes Sandra, I woke up at 5.30am and just could not get back to sleep! I watched the Goldfinches coming for their breakfast of Sunflower hearts, then a Blackbird for the Grapes. They know where to find a good café! :o)
23 Aug, 2014
I was a bit later than you,Shirley, but not by much..Looks like you had some good company this morning :o)
23 Aug, 2014
Oh Shirley..not long after my last comment, and after breakfast,I went out to put some newspapers in the bin,and a little Robin must have hit the window in the Conservatory, and lay dead on the path..I had drawn the blinds fully back,as it had been dull when I got up..and then the sun came out,so it was full on the window..I was heartbroken, and could kick myself for not just angling the blinds,.It looked like an Adult too,and had been on the Feeder a couple of minutes before...so sad ...:o(
23 Aug, 2014
Oh that's such a shame Sandra ... sadly these accidents happen and there's nothing you could have done about it.
23 Aug, 2014
I guess not,Shirley, but it's the first time it's happened for me..I can understand how others have felt, when it's happened to them..My fave little bird too :o(
23 Aug, 2014
:o(((
24 Aug, 2014
I planted a rudbeckia and I've not seen it at all....slugs must have devoured it. maybe try again next year....sigh.
24 Aug, 2014
Oh dear,Karen..I'd better be prepared then..I'll get the 'slug gone' out,Pronto thanks for the warning..!
24 Aug, 2014
How did I miss this photo? lovely bright plant glad it brightens up your view from the kitchen :o)
29 Aug, 2014
You were probably doing other things, like housework,Neellan..and not spending too many hours on here, unlike me.. :o) ..thank you,it is a cheery plant, especially on miserable wet days..it never stopped yesterday :o(
