Primrose candelabra decided to display one more bloom in August.

It is. I love them and hope they will seed. It would be lovely to see them massed in that spot.

Thanks Delonix1. I assume that primulas would not grow successfully in your hot and dry climate?

They do grow in the middle of winter in some areas, especially along the coast. Where I live here further inland San Diego the very dry, hot Santa Winds conditions make them look very horrible. This year is an El NiƱo year...so maybe we'll get a lot of rain and some cooler weather this winter. Last winter was in the top 3 hottest on record in the San Diego Area and many parts of SoCal...so many days above 80 and even 90 degrees.
