Unknown Plant ?

this is such a beautiful bloom the plants name ive forgotten tho sorry.
i have two of these in my garden a friend had one of the two appear in her mothers garden which she dug up and gave to me :-) then from that i took a cutter which is the second plant.
just yesterday i was reading a very lovely blog on here and this particular plant was feature in there :-).
hope you find out the name, if i remember will let you know!

It's a Leycesteria Formosa or to give it its common name Pheasant Berry or Himalayan Honeysuckle,lovely shrub I have one called 'Golden lanterns'with gold leaves, love it :-)
As Marybells has discovered it does self seed too :-)

and that's true Simbad :-) from the information my friend told me
i did discover that the plant can self-seed and in the case of my friends mothers Leycesteria Formosa it may have been a small animal or bird that (shall we say)deposited it (the seed) in hers mothers garden, then in turn i was given.

I discovered my first seedling this year Marybells which I'll move to a better spot in the autumn :-), none from the gold leaved one yet, I ll have to take cuttings as I would like another of that one too :-)

Hi Outlander - Here in North Ayrshire. I have both the green and yellow leaved Leycesteria and have had for about 7 years - some of the canes may die back but you can cut it down to the ground and it will regrow
