Another plant flowering for the second time this year I'm quite surprised as we've not had the damp conditions this likes, it's in the border and I've not watered it.

Our Geums have not liked the hot dry conditions here, and have hardly flowered, will have to find them new places.

I don't know about the others Dawn but this ones common name is the Water Aven grows in damp boggy spots beside water, I keep meaning to move this but one of the long list of jobs :-). The white plants a perennial Ghysophila 'Diamond Spray' according to my garden, another grown from free seed I've had several of these in the garden for years now :-)
Maybe they do all prefer damper conditions then Dd this is the only one I grow, I tell a lie I was sent another in the spring 'Mrs Bradshaw' but she's in heavy clay at the bottom of the hill so its always fairly moist :-)

Thanks Kathy, yes, I think I have your geum near the pond now you say. The Ghypophila is nice too, I have one but it never seems to flourish, must move it. Hey ho, that long list of jobs we have in our heads. Occasionally I walk around the garden, listing jobs and when I get to no.30 I stop until another day, good to get jobs onto paper though to remove from one's memory - if only there were more hours in the day.

I daren't list them Dawn I'd cry!!! :-), the only good thing this time of year is at least the weeds have slowed down a bit. I've had a good day today though got nearly all the daylilies I'm sending out dug up split and the roots wash its hardly made a dint in all the ones that need splitting, I could set up my own nursery at this rate!!

Never ending is it. I've been cutting perennials down today, a job I dont like. My ligularia from your seed have been good this year, flowered or ages. Yes the weeds are slowing down. You must feel pleased your day lily splitting is being done.

What else?
See who else is growing Geum rivale (Bach-Nelkenwurz).
See who else has plants in genus Geum.
