Colchicum in the side garden

Clever you......are they not tricky?

These are early Scottish. Lovely flower.

I'm not sure if they are fussy or not DD2 - I was given a pot of thick glossy leaves by my brother's neighbour and for 2 years, it did nothing except get on my nerves. I had no idea what they were (neither did she, except she told me purple flowers). I dug the clump out to get rid of it and the followoing year (last year) I had a single flower. Must have been a single bulb I missed. They must multiply quickly as I've 5 this year.
Scotsgran I've checked back last year's picture and last year's single bud was out on the 9th of September so not much difference really.

Senior moment Scottish. I am still back in August.
