The baler and stacker were in operation today. They worked extremely hard ... All ready now, for transporting away for storage.

They are fascinating to watch Karen, they don't hang around, as there is so much to do. Well that's it now, until the ploughing commences.

Think back to when they used horses for ploughing. I have long reigned a heavy horse of 18 hands, at a show in the ring a couple of years ago. They asked if anyone wanted to have a go and I did. The horse obeyed my commands and I drove it round the ring twice. It seemed massive when I was walking behind it driving it forward.

It must have taken the farmers ages, back in thise days. But then of course they didnt have the modern pressures of "price competitive supermarkets" over the heads. Must have been a wonderful experience Linda, steering that huge horse. Did you see warhorse?

Yes Alan, I saw the film (Made me tearful) so emotional. I also saw the theatrical production beamed live to our local cinema. At Christmas they had the soldiers wives singing at the Albert Hall too and Warhorse was on that. It's amazing puppetry the way the people bring the horse alive.

Fully agree Linda. For the first few minutes we watched the puppeteers, the horses movements were so "life like". After that we just watched the horse. Fabulous show and film.

I also liked the little foal and the man with the goose.

I have a real thing for tractors! I could watch a nice tractor in a field for ages...it's a bit weird I know. I think it must have something to do with childhood because when I think about it, they do remind me of the toy farm we had as children.....which I loved....not sure if it was mine, my friend's or my brothers!
