Chinese freighter in my view

We are fighting these guys not to park along our shore. There are usually 5-6 of them park here. Sometimes for months.

I agree with you Sheila. It started about 2 years ago when they started to ship oil by rail. These freighters are here to get coal or grain. Oil is more valuable and profitable commodity so these have to wait. They have to pay big money (for moorage) in Vancouver and here they are staying for free. We complain to no end :-(

Definitely spoils the view.especially if there are several moored at a time.

I am always furious when I see them to drop the anchor
It is noisy and their generators are going day and night.
They are a good conversation piece . It is gone this morning:-) and we were promised they will not come any more. At least not this year. We will be heading south next months but we are happy for our neighbours.

They should not be allowed to spoil that spectacular stretch of water . . . I still remember how we loved the ferry ride from Vancouver to your island :)
