buddleia replanted

buddleia replanted

140914 - it wasn't looking too happy in the pot, so I took it out; the roots were enough to make it slightly potbound, so it's got plenty of room now. I put some fertliser products into the hole, hope that'll help

Should be ok there Fran providing enough water if dry and warm. These too can get very frisky after about 3 years on. Can be a battle to stay in control. They can grow anywhere. Often on walls and out of chimneys. Try pruning right back to a few inches when growth restarts in spring.

I've not checked it closely for a while - not thought of going round the corner of the shed! I didn't realise when I bought it that the label says it can grow 4 metres high and wide - probably wouldn't have bought it if I had! I'll settle for maybe 6 feet, need to know that I can get to the back to prune, don't want it to stick too much over the fence, not fair on the neighbour
