Amy, we are driving this year (wish us luck) we will be gone till mid April. Magnolias, rhodies ,oriental cherries, and camellias should be in full bloom then.

Yes Amy, I will be posting from there . We have a nice garden there also....and I am always interested what you girls in UK are up to.

That's good to hear , do you have someone to look after your garden while you are away ? ....

We do not Amy, we have someone looking after the house and watering plants inside but the garden is on its own. It is lots of work when we come back, especially when we have few winter storms. It takes us several weeks to make the place acceptable. But we are used to it. We do not have to do anything in our winter rental house. It comes with gardener and housekeeper :-)

We've only just started making our garden look tidy again after our holiday but then the holiday was well worth it .. sounds as though you will be able to have a lovely relaxing time in your winter home , I always thought that once we reached retirement I could spend each day catching up on reading or what ever else I wanted to do it hasn't worked out like that there's always so much to do each day goes in a flash !
