These seem a lot later than last year

Very pretty, is this a low grower? It looks very like one we bought in the spring, and forgot we had!!

Why is that Karen?

I don't like them Andrew. I don't generally like plants that are smothered with flower all at once for such a short time. I planted two more Aster Frickartii Monch instead. They are much more to my taste. I also have Aster lateriflorus 'Lady in Black'..but their foliage is just as lovely as their flowers, so I like them more.

They look like Aster dumosum, which bloom later then Belgian asters. Do they have short stems?

Oh, now I noticed the comment, that they are low growers. So they are A. dumosum.

We have lost lady in Black after growing it for quite a few years...could have been the wet winter?

could be A. Or perhaps they are just short-lived, I don't know. But I'm sure it's nothing you did. :)

It's definitely not the same as mine Annie. MIne had bigger leaves, more spaced out on the stems.
