You're looking at me - I'm looking at you. Norhern Mockingbirds.

Northern Mockingbirds have been known to so skillfully imitate sounds such as squeaky gate hinges, sirens, and barking dogs that even an acoustical analysis could not tell the difference between the mockingbird and the original sound. Northern Mockingbirds have been known to identify individual people who repeatedly encroach into their nesting territory and will selectively harass them. In contrast, they will ignore new people just passing through their territory.

Oh yes, extremely clever. This pair has been hanging around my property for a couple years and they don't like to stray. I almost consider them my pets. They do a good job of watching over things and will try to alert you of danger or if something is not quite right (neighbor's garage fire during the night)
