My neighbours bought me a lovely Camellia (Japonica Frame) two and a half years ago. It has just produced it's 1st flowers a week or so ago. Four flowers and lots more flower buds, but I guess sadly, no more will open, now that the temperatures have dropped.

Karen, Angie, thank you, it is in sheltered alcove that gets late afternoon and evening sun. It's actually on the LHS of my "Sand, Sea and Drift Wood" photo (number 17).
Carole, it's lovely to see it flowering at last. Sorry to hear you lose your buds.
Thanks Sheila, fingers crossed it's in a sheltered area, near to the house. I did put a protective cover on it last year which may have helped, although it was a really mild winter.

It's important to ensure you water during the summer. Lack of water is the main reason for bud drop.

so beautiful:-)
gardening needs a lot patience and hardwork, unlike here in the Philippines, we have almost 26 stronger typhoons, flooding is one of the problems, that's why my garden is almost gone ...

So sorry to hear that Junna. Our climate in the UK is reasonably good for gardners. High winds and floods seem to be occuring more frequently now though. Never as strong as typhoons though.
