Thanks Simbad for your lovely comment!

Yes, Lucy sleeps almost all day, changing places now and then. We don't know how old she is because Lucy came with the house (ex-owner left her and got himself a small black puppy instead; he said he would come to collect her, which was a total lie). Anyway, she's probably around 15 years old, quite old as a cat. Therefore she isn't as active as before and she doesn't meow loudly.

I love Lucy, she's a very affectionate cat.

Oh I have to tell you this: Lucy slept on/around my neck the other night in bed and she licked my face, near my ear & chin and I let her keep doing it until she got bored. I thought it might be good for my skin, sort of "cat-tongue facial treatment"? lol lol lol HOWEVER!! A couple of days later I've got very minor scabs around the spots she had licked me. So! It was a bad idea to let her do the treatment on my face! lol lol lol

Aaaaw poor Lucy, its nice that she's got such caring owners now though :-), 15!! Crikey Symbas just a young lad then at 11.
Lol I'll give the cat facial a miss then, Symbas a little terror when the weather starts to get colder, he tries to get in bed with me,never Robs side, first he'll meow loudly in my ear if that does'nt work he taps me on the head then the nails come out lol, trouble is he'll only settle with my arm round him so I can't move!!!, very persistent little thing and he usually wins, then purrs very loudly for the next hour when he's got his own way.

LOL Simbad! Your Symbas is exactly the same as Lucy, she doesn't go near to my OH side in bed and very persistent to settle in her favourite place (on/around my neck). And then purrs so very loudly that my OH shushes her. Love Lucy :-)
