This little plant comes from Western Australia, and is only borderline hardy in the UK. It grows to about 18 inches, and wants a sunny spot in well-drained soil. It is supposed to flower in the summer - I bought it in June, and it has finally decided it likes its spot. Fingers crossed for the winter though.

Very nice. I'm developing a weakness for Iridaceae from Oz.

Meanie - the nursery where I bought it is The Plant Specialist at Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. They reckoned it was hardy in the nursery last winter, but then last winter was extremely mild.

Looks as if that would be worth a trip out next year! Thank you.
