Black Bamboo

I dug this out of a raised bed 2 years ago because it was taking over and growing so tall it bowed right over the patio and steps each time it rained and I got a soaking when I lifted it to get past...lol. It took me 3 hours to get it out as the planting pocket was chock full of roots. I planted it at the top of the garden and I thought I had killed it off but this year it has 'come back to life. It can grow and spread to it's hearts content up there.

Glad its OK. I bought a small one a few years ago from a car boot, it took a while to get going but its about 3 feet tall now, I should probably think of moving mine before it gets too big. I have the huge leaved type of bamboo too, I know what you mean, the weight of rain drags them down, I kind of limbo under mine, lol.
