Repotted into a very rich wood-fibre-based compost this South African bulb seems to be excelling itself. Early Winter, kept in full, natural light with no extra, artificial illumination and already with a fully-open flower-group and huge leaves. Will it set seed this time? Or will it succumb to too rich conditions and cold during the coming UK's (predicted by some) severest winter for over a century?
