This cactus does get very big and very heavy. There's a lot of them growing outside here in San Diego. I have posted many with flowers and fruit (which is edible) in the past on GoY.

It's quite an impressive size.

When I collected cacti in my teens I really really wanted one of these!

I never had much luck growing cacti. They don't like to be moved. I enjoy seeing them in the desert when I drive through Arizona.
