The big Aloe uncurling..

Like some primitive reptile from a remote island,Aloe marlothii a tree Aloe (although,never branching,not making any shade,and no good for a hammok isnt my idea of a tree) is also blooming early.

That's dwarf Mexicola. It has edible skin.Even the fruit are dwarf- about the size of medium chicken eggs.
I wanted to take it down and plant Hass..but the wife said no.

Mexicola is a very good variety. The fruit is terrific and you don't see it for sale very often in the stores.
Mexicola variety avocados used to be available all the time at fruit stands in the SF Bay Area, years ago (of course, now you don't see any fruit stands up there anymore).
