We had 4" of rain,SF had 3.50"..and up northbay they had 6"..well short of the 8-10" predicted..but plenty of rain.
It was said SF received from the one last storm 3.5 billion gallons of water. If I had to guess? About 20 billion gallons then for the bay area in total.
Still a ways to go fill the lakes- but we are on the way!

We are finally on our way to getting some of those empty reservoirs that were only at 3% level filled with water. I know now most reservoir are at only 33% even with all the rain most of California received. With this current storm the total rainfall could reach over 3 inches (76mm) in some areas of San Diego County (including the last two storms). This is about all the rain we received in San Diego all last rainy season.
The Meteorologist still say we need 20" (508 mm) more rain to break the drought. This is very unlikely, especially here in San Diego.
Stan, did you hear, we're expecting temps by this Sunday back up in the 70's and close to 80 degrees of dry weather by Tuesday (here in San Diego). It appears we're going to have a pretty warm and dry Christmas Day, again!

On the TV they showed landslides in one area of CA ... glad you are okay and that the lakes are filling up.
