Having never had success with Phlox I'm a little leery of trying them again...but I think I'd give these a go, if I can find them...thanks.

I've just found this photo - is it a Phlox paniculata? It's definitely a 'WOW' plant! I 'want' one!!! :-)))

TY Zeena and Spritz.

Sorry, Spritz, I missed your comment somehow. It is a member of phlox paniculata, and really something. I got a few colors out of a six pack and they were all smashing, bright and explosive. :-) It did only reach about 12inches, small for a paniculata.

I've googled it and looked in the RHS plantfinder. Sadly, it doesn't appear to be available in the UK - not as a plant. anyway. I can find it listed as an annual - it wasn't, was it?

It was an annual. Although all phlox acts annual around here. After much googling myself and a little reference to the plant tag I found it called 'twinkle dwarf star mixed'. I found another resource which calls it Phlox drummondii, probably more correct as a search under that name is much more successful. And all seem annual.

Heres a link to a US supplier that seems willing to ship international with a phytosanitary certificate if you'd like seed.

If it doesn't work, might need a l at the end of the sequence.

Thanks. I was really hoping that it was a perennial! You'll have ceen that I have a lot of Phlox paniculata in my garden...I love them at this time of year.

I envy them.....lol. One of the many we just don't have survive the winter. I'll have to stick with my annuals, though this nursery may have run out of seed now, I haven't seen this for a while as well. They are showstoppers when really going aren't they?
