As of today- its still green and full. The larger potted plants are not as perky.
I figure any Delonix grown from near seed in ground should get off to a fast start for summer. It cant rely on lots of water is my feeling. Deep rooting will be the ticket.

You definitely want to kept both of them on the dry side. They usually don't like wet soil in winter.
You're correct. You they should get off to a great start in spring and summer.

I'm more amazed how beautiful the D. regia looks, than the papaya.
