This hillside has a naturalized grove of Washingtonia,Canary Island Date Palms,Acacia's,and pampas grass.
I don't think there is another like it in all of Northern California.
Do you see the cell tower?-wink.

Yes. By the French restaurant leading to Niles.
I'm sure that hillside has a shallow water table..CIDP,Acacia's and other exotics are growing..no sign of surface water. Even a mile before- CIDP pop up along that same rise in the hills.
Being a raised location that faces north- southwest,it gets maximum heating. The French bistro has a nice large White Bougainvillea. Tender and heat needy,thriving.

I thought it looked like Fremont. I traveled this road almost every day when I lived Fremont (Mission San Jose) and worked in Hayward.
That's incredible that the French restaurant is still there.
