Kalanchoe x houghtonii

How tall is this Meanie? I can see that this has been taken in the Kitchen... What are you feeding it on...?;o)

It's 70cm to 90cm Petaltracey. I don't think that I've fed it - just keep it in the greenhouse until December and then move it indoors working slowly from the back hall through to a warm windowsill. It was in the kitchen for its weekly soak.
Very easy but still one of my favourites.

Well it looks amazing! I'm always taken by unusual plants especially if they grow in my favourite colours... Orange is a particular fav of mine!

PM me in a week or so (I have a lot on my plate the next few days) and I'll send you some plantlets.

It makes a good annual bedding plant too..................

Meanie I can't believe how quickly the plants you sent me have grown , I must remember the weekly soak when they are bigger ... I'm looking forward to seeing them like this one of yours :o) is that all one plant in that pot ?

On one side it is last years plantlets. On the other side it is a section of stem that I cut off and laid on the surface of the soil. There is no difference in rate of growth or vigour that I can see.

It's amazing it has grown this tall in a pot. They grow this tall here in the ground. :>)

Delonix - it is amazing how much the plantlets will grow even if they can't get their roots into anything!

I know they have a small root system. I think a lot of species get their nutrients from the air.
