These plants/tree were showing up well in high clouds of the background. It may appear a cool day; however, it was a beautiful 76ºF (24ºC) day. Photo taken Jan. 22, 2015 in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.

It's a female Canary Island palm. It's the second most common and naturalized palm here in California after Washingtonia robusta (Mexican fan palm).
