These crocus come up every year in the gravel in front of our garage door. We used to have a flower bed there before we had the garage built and the crocus corms got left in the ground. It is 30 odd years since we built the garage.

A lovely splash of colour. Bet you're glad you didn't dig them up now.

We had trouble with the birds pecking the heads off the yellow ones they left them scattered all over the lawn :o(

Beautiful crocuses, Shirley! Wonderful colour.
I have the same problem with yellow crocuses, Amy. Such a pity because I love the yellow ones.

They obviously like it there and they are a lovely sunny colour.
Your heading reminded me of a Spike Milligan poem.
The Spring is sprung
The grasss is rizz
I wonder where the birdies is.
The birds on the wing
But that's absurd
The wings on the bird.
(something like that anyway!)

Lindak, Yes I know the poem, my brother used to relate it to me, but his version was a bit different 'dialect'?;-
Spring is sprung
de grass is rizz
I wonder where de boidies is.
Some say de boid is on de wing
But dats obsoird,
I always t'ought de wing was on de boid!!
Not sure how that came about, but that's how I knew it in my early years!

I know it like that, too, Shirl - I think it's supposed to be a Bronx accent.
