Stipa gigantea

Cut right back as per article in Illustrated Gardens mag (as per blog) thought we would try it as it has grown massive, was thinking of splitting but think we will leave it another season and see how it does :)

You will find somewhere,Daylily..we always do,don't we?
One piece of mine is in a very large pot,as I couldn't find anywhere else, but it's doing well..It will stay there till it finally cracks the pot..it's only a plastic one,so no worries :o)

I always give my grasses a haircut in the Autumn and they are beginning to grow back with the bit of warmth we are having.

Hi Daylilly I sometimes give my grasses a cut when they have finished sending up flowering stems. They are grasses so I cut when I think. Perhaps it's right perhaps it's wrong but they keep on growing.......
