This is the way they are sold on the streets. One is ready (on the stick) just for my consumption . These are very sweet ...just melting in your mouth.

I agree. I bought some very sweet last spring-about this time- planted two seeds. One came up runty and eventually faded away, the other just the opposite- fast, large leafs from the get go.
Now,its a foot tall in a pot.
Still, not counting my chickens before they hatch.
And thanks for the pics Klahanie. All my life I've heard Lake Chapala stories and never been there.

It never occurred to me that I should try to plant the seed.
I am glad that one of them is doing well for you Stan.
I hope you will get fruit one day.
We will be leaving soon and will not rent this house next winter (The owner wants to rent it full time) He is from Philippines. Is that where your wife comes from? If so, than she would love this house. Grand and very formal with many decorations imported from the country.

Yes she's from Laguna. She's been back to the home country to visit 3 times in 5 years- a month at a time. She's not even interested in Hawaii. I am!

These are my very favorite mango for that reason - they really do melt in your mouth. I buy them by the case at the flea market on Sundays.
