Yes Feverfew. Most of the times I see it cut in the squares.

Just my opinion, but I think it started as a way for cars to avoid tree's on unlit Mexican roads at night . Now,it seems to be just a tradition.

When I was a kid Klahanie I was told that when somebody is killed in a car accident in Mexico ,they would build a roadside shrine. Way back then I thought that sounded so over done, kind of a hill people thing. I was a kid.
Now? You see it done all over California and by all types and incomes. Ribbons, balloons, candles. Life's twists.
Well, maybe more then you wanted to know-lol.

I love the look of these F. benjamina trees! F. benjamina is widely used as a large hedge or landscape tree here.

Stan, the roads are dotted with shrines in Mexico and we did seesome in States as well.
Delonix1, I like this ficus too. They take trimming very well. I have 2 as house plants here on Vancouver Island.

Yes, F. benjamina is a tough tree. It tolerates a lot of abuse and extreme heat with not problems.

lovely trees. The Ficus benjaminas here are usually planted in shopping malls. just peeking over the wall there seems to be a lovely array of beautiful trees planted in that garden!

Wow! I've never seen Ficus clipped like that. Is it Ficus Benjamina? We only see Ficus as pot plants over here.
