No not for us Amy, I cut the foliage back about a month ago as soon as I could see flowers starting to emerge out the ground, otherwise its hard to see the flowers for the leaves.

Perhaps mine are there I haven't been down to ground level plus my flowers are purple so don't show up as much as yours , yours are a pretty colour ...
