So pretty, we just have Shirotae.....and it has looked wonderful this year.

Its magnificent! Does it grow huge and have huge roots like most Prunus? i have subhirtella and Kojo no Mai. But am afraid to plant a flowering cherry like this because of their notorious root run.

Hi Driad. It hasn't fruited in the past, I think its ornamental.
Hi DD. We've had a good start to the year haven't we. My magnolias have never been as good.

Ditto stunning ! I've never seen so much white blossom as in the hedgerows today the fields looked to be divided with white snow it was the Blackthorn shrubs blossom !

I planted 10 Blackthorn in our hedge, but I think they failed. I should have watered them more, but didnt want to water the weeds!
