Hi Karen, maybe you are thinking of red campion? I have that too but not quite in flower yet.

No Dawn. It was definitely this, but very slightly redder. Not as red as campion. Perhaps it was the light..we were in dappled shade..or perhaps my memory isnt so good...or perhaps its the different soil up here!

I saw some at the weekend..growing wild. The colour was beautiful. Redder than this Dawn...is that right? A cross between violet and magenta?
