Sure your right my MIL gave me this many years ago always the first to flower, its been swapped all over the country lol and in both daughters gardens too now.

First to flower, except for the dwarfs. In front garden, in poorest position, because its not fussy.

Yes the bearded ones of any colour Siris. The petals are like velvet.

It's just a pity that the flowers don't last longer, but there are plenty of buds awaiting to come out.

Lindak, I have done a 'trial' each flower is lasting about a week. The condition depends on the weather. Then the next bud down opens.

Like the colour combination here. Think the Iris is an historic, never named, never registered, but such a good doer.
