Gladiolus communis byzantinus (Gladiolus communis  byzantinus (Gladiolus))

Magenta flower spikes on Gladiolus byzantinus. The corms of this species Gladiolus do tend to go walkabout.

It has taken ours years to do that, not out yet!!

I let mine ramble thro' my Iris bed, then if I lift to divide the Iris, I move the Glad back to the back of the bed to restart its progress forwards.

I think where we live inland in Hants, we are sheltered by the Isle Of Wight, so quite warm.
