Pretty self-explanatory. Hard to resist touching the leaves - they feel like silky velvet. Purple flower spikes throughout the summer. Dry hot sunny locations. Good for a rock garden. If you are tactile, this is the plant for you.

I love them too. You wouldn't believe how expensive a few leaves are at florist's wholesaler. I have preserved them with glycerine a few times for this purpose. The flowers are a bonus and from a distance, similar to Evening primrose in shape and height, just a different colour.
Children love stroking them.
