That is so beautiful Sheila. I bought a fringe tree this spring and hope for that same effect against the dark forest. How long go you have it and have you trained it to be standard by yourself?

Thank you very much Klahanie, Melchi and Karen! I'm so pleased with this . . . it was in a large pot for a couple of years and then we planted it out here about 3 years ago. So far, we have hardly had to prune it at all, so I suppose the answer to Klahanie's question is 'Yes' :))
