Iris - Found this in my border today, its been in a few years but this is the first time it has flowered.

CottageKaren sent it to me a few years back but for some reason it has never flowered until now. It is really pretty and I really love it. It was great to see the flowers on it after all this time. Thank you Karen it is a beauty.

yes that's the one Karen think it has taken it 3 years to flower. but well worth the wait.

Well it should take off now. Mine never even survived really, but you never know, it could be flowering away now behind my back in the old garden!

there were three or four flowers in the border so it really has taken off this year, I had forgotten it was there, to be honest that border is rather left to its own devices as the colourful poppies are popping up all over and my size 8's trample them down if I try and get in amongst the plants so have left it alone to see what develops. It is looking like there will be lots of poppies. Could do to get the nettles out which look like they are enjoying themselves just a tad too much in there.

The wait was definitely worth the wait. As for the nettles...take comfort in the fact that they encourage the bees :)

I do Waddy, have loads that I leave undisturbed for the bees and butterflies but these ones are not supposed to be in this border. lol. they just do not listen to me!!
