Non hardy climber growing from a tuber. I started this off in a pot on the kitchen windowsill, hardened it off, placed the pot in the border and forgot about it. Gets to around four feet high.

TS - it gets to about four feet and gently twines around its host, so it's not going to overwhelm or smother anything. Just remember it's not hardy, so grow it in a pot and don't leave it outside during the winter.

Love this one mine however starts flowering in February and has already died down
Andrew if this is your first time with it and you intend to repot do it within a month of it going dormant as it very quickly makes new shoots under ground and they break off very very easily.

Thanks for the hint Brian. I was surprised mine was so late starting into growth, but having it flower at the same time as its host was a bonus.

I've never seen this before, very nice looking flowers. Does it grow tall and climb like the rest of the family?
